Craig Millar - Brough Primary (P.E Coordinator)
I just thought I'd recommend a company to you that we've been using recently. They're great if you're looking for fun and different ideas to the usual sporting activities like we have been at Brough this year. The children have already enjoyed skateboarding (highly recommended!) and martial arts clubs and are looking forward to a scooter club in the Summer Term. The coaches are great with the kids and they get really excited for the clubs each week!
Tom Wood - Demeter House School (Child Referral Unit ) Head Of Year
Demeter house is a school that works with students, which have struggled in mainstream education and show challenging behaviours for a number of medical and psychological reasons. Active were invited in to work with the students over a 2 month period and after the first session we could already tell it was going to be incredibly beneficial for the students. Their well-planned sessions kept all students engaged, having fun and working on fundamental life skills such as balance and co-ordination, perseverance, teamwork and communication skills.
All of the students who partook showed marked improvement in all of the above-mentioned areas, as well as being shown a new positive and healthy outlet in which to fill their spare time if wanted.
The students where motivated intrinsically and extrinsically (by stickers, certificates and various other prizes) but I feel the highlight of the whole experience was seeing the students work together and show a mature and grown up approach towards some of the weaker students, as well as praise there accomplishments in a safe and friendly environment.
The whole experience was simply brilliant for the students and staff alike and we will most defiantly be having Active back to the school.
Sophie Robertson – Hull City Council Planning & Major Events Manager
The event went really well, the coverage in the HDM was excellent and believe West Park Plaza is now firmly on the map for Skateboarding, Scooting, BMX and Inline Skating, which is exactly what we wanted to achieve with Actives help. Please pass on my thanks again to you’re team, they where all brilliant on the day, so polite and great with the young people a real credit to Active.
Peter & Leila - Parents
Hey Active, The skateboard has arrived and Bob is over the moon about it! He's outside now practising and I know he'll be out there at every opportunity. Thank you also for taking the time to write Bob a note with some advice, that was very thoughtful and we were touched by your kindness. Kind regards and thanks once again for all your help.

Joseph Brown – Aldbrough Primary School Teacher
Active have been excellent with our pupils; after a fun and engaging day with our key stage 2 pupils, we have had such a good response from the pupils that we have booked Active to do not one but two after school clubs due to the popularity of skateboarding club. Active were friendly and professional with the children and they responded well to the coaching through out the sessions, which are well planned and delivered. I would definitely recommend these sessions to any school.
Elaine Collinson – Driffield Secondary Community Engagement Manager
Active is excellent to work with; efficient, organised and always on time. Active has a great rapport with the students and they really know how to encourage them and build their confidence. We look forward to working with Active again in the future.
Sarah Bone – Headlands School Head Teacher
Active are a fantastic role model for young people and they're coaching sessions are incredibly popular. We have just signed Active up for a lunchtime club for the next academic year. Thank you once again. Sarah
Rachael Hicks – St Marys RC Primary P.E Coordinator
What a brilliant day! The whole school from EYFS to Year 6 took part in coaching sessions with Active; the children loved the experience and haven't stopped talking about it!
Samantha Headley – Bridgeview School (Child Referral Unit) Head Of Outreach
Active came to Bacon Garth last June to do a full days coaching then returned September to do after school clubs, all the kids loved it and have been asking when Active can return, its a great way of encouraging the kids to keep fit and we are looking forward to having Active back again this year... well done!
Andrew Harper – St Michaels Centre Head Youth Worker
Active have been working with young people on Shaw park Skate Park since the beginning of the summer. The young peoples skills and confidence have really come on and other staff have praised their ability at getting the best out of young people
Kay Wardle – Bridlington Extended Schools Coordinator
It was a pleasure to work with Active, you are so organised! All too often I have to chase up providers for paperwork etc. I was also impressed with how you pitched your teaching at different levels. The kids loved it and can't wait to have you back. Brendan’s mum has just text me to say he's so inspired he's still out skateboarding and won't even come in for his tea, Looking forward to the next day. Thanks!
Steph Jackson – Newbald Primary School P.E Coordinator
